I've been thinking about vids that critique their source (intentionally or otherwise)

While really fun to watch, djcprod and Grable424's Glitter and Gold (presumably unintentionally demonstrates some of the flaws of the MCU - namely how overwhelmingly white and male it is (I think in much the same way that Boom Boom Ba, which is 'about the sensual aspects of the show Xena and the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle' ends up illustrating the orientalism present in XWP)

Compare [personal profile] thuviaptarth 's Hey Ho which is a chilling examination of the military industrial complex in the MCU, [personal profile] bironic 's Masters of War (Pegasus Rising Remix) which critiques SGA's imperialism, or [personal profile] lierdumoa 's How Much is that Geisha in the Window about Firefly's cultural appropriation and lack of Asian characters.

(part of me wants to write meta on this a some point)
